These functional units date from the Mid Century, potentially 1955 - 1960, and as such  are well designed, useful and beautiful.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach piece features a cupboard compartment and a single drawer sitting on a stylish base in characterful polished wood; the moulded pull handles are iconic giving that classic retro feel; and I particularly love how the corners are slightly rounded rather than straight, this is much more stylised and a sign of good craftmanship, typical of Austrian designer, Groag.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOverall the cabinets have a streamlined and contemporary feel, and would suit modern living whilst adding authentic character to your home, making a real statement in a bedroom or either side of the sofa. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese are rare pieces and much sought after. The overall condition is good and they stand solid. These have been fully refinished to reveal a distinctive walnut grain veneer with a slightly contrasting teak trim. The surface has been replenished and protected with multiple coats of clear wood oil with a satin finish to add a slightly contrasting sheen to the patina.
