A stunning Mahogany Chest of Drawers with the most beautiful turned legs and Scalloped apron on the base.
This is a highly sought-after piece dating from the Victorian era, it has solid wood pine drawers and frame faced with mahogany veneer and the original brass coloured pulls which as so unusual and really really pretty.
This piece is a really classic shape, a typical design from the time it was made; but stands out from the crowd due to some really lovely features, such as the ornate handles, the shaped base and the tall turned legs.
It would add character to any bedroom or lounge area, fitting in perfectly to a period property.
This five-drawer chest exudes character and heritage. The drawer fronts, showcase the perfectly time worn mahogany and original patina where this had been preserved and restored instead of stripped and lost forever.
Each drawer features dovetail joints and solid wood pine frames, ensuring enduring quality and craftsmanship. The original pull handles have been carefully cleaned maintaining their original patina, and keeping the authentic vintage appeal.
The drawers runners have been revived with wood salve with a delicate citrus scent, which in turn restores and revives the wood but the old blue paper linings are still intact to preserve the authenticity of this piece.
Whether placed in a bedroom or living space, it is sure to be a standout piece in your home.
The condition is good and the original mahogany patina has been left intact, but fully polished inside and out to bring out the gorgeous wood grain. The chest stands solid, and the drawers all open/ run smoothly.
As the original character has been preserved there are some signs of wear consumerate with age but in most part these just add to the authenticity. There are a few small areas of veneer damage and splits as pictured to keep in mind but these are absolutely something to be expected with a chest this old and as mentionned I would prefer to see the life of this set of drawers than try to hide it and take away its character.

We offer free delivery on small items, such as artwork. Smaller furniture items are shipped at a flat rate of £30 and all larger furniture items are shipped at a flat rate of £60 per item.
When an order has been placed, I will contact a courier company within 24 hours to book in a collection. At that point your details will be passed on so the delivery driver can make contact with you at a later date to arrange a suitable delivery date with you.
We advise a usual delivery time of between 1 and 2 weeks, however this can vary a little and can sometimes take longer depending on your location.

We offer the option to return your item for a full refund within14 days, however please note that any delivery costs incurred including return delivery will not be refunded, also consider the item will need to be sent back with the original courier in the original packaging and inspected for any damage before a refund can be issued.
