Rare Jacobean Revival Glazed Dresser Display Cabinet made in Burl Walnut; this is elaborate, ornate and very stylish resting on stunning turned legs with the original castors, central glazed door with fretwork, and of course the stunning burled walnut panels. It can also be referred to as a hutch or a china cabinet.

I believe it to be a very unusual piece which remains in amazing condition and hence this is a great opportunity to own something truly unique for your home, it would certainly make a statement.

I would say, though this is a Jacobean revival piece, it also has an Art Deco feel about it and is believed to date from around the 1920’s to the 1930’s. The look is very elegant with shelving for creating displays and a lower drawer often used to house silverware back in the day.

Would look amazing in a Victorian room (I’m imagining a 3 story town house)  or I can see this being  the statement piece in a gentleman’s club style restaurant or bar to store glassware and interesting artifacts; the style is luxurious, and elaborate, and is a look difficult to reproduce with modern brand new furniture, so this piece is one of a kind and would bring real substance and character to a period property.

The finish is in the original condition, having been cleaned carefully and slightly polished to maintain the stunning patina. In great vintage condition and stands solid, in fact this cabinet is very heavy which is a sign of good quality.  The intention with this piece is to keep as much character as possible; where the patina has been enhanced and uncovered, rather than stripped back; hence please do expect this piece to have some minor signs of use over the years consumerate with age.

The cabinet is ideal for showcasing collectibles or fine china, favourite glassware, even books; and even has indentations for plates to lodge if required, it is truly a great example of blending function with a timeless and stylish design.

The dimensions of this piece are approximately as follows

Height 175cm

Depth 38.5cm

Width 83cm
