Wooden Reeded Glass Wall Cabinet

This Mid-century cabinet is a versatile piece that boasts a sleek, mcm design, dating somewhere between the 1950's to the 1960's. It has a retro feel with simple lines made from stylish contemporary ply wood, a material typically used around this era.

To refinish the cabinet, the wooden patina has been restored and reoiled to bring out nicely the natural grain, and the addition of a hard wearing reeded effect on the original glass sliding door adds an up to date contemporary twist. The single glass door has an irridescent quality which shimmers different colours in different lights. This is a unique feature and means this piece of furniture is entirely bespoke.

The piece has been designed for both a vintage space or a modern home, and would add plenty of character to a bathroom as an apothecary cabinet; perfect also in a kitchen as a display/ spice cabinet; or perhaps used as a collectors case for treasured possessions.  

Condition: 

Please note this cabinet is vintage, dating from the 1950’s to the 1960’s and is in previously owned condition, however has been refurbished to a good standard. The natural wood has been sanded down and re oiled to protect, this has eradicated the old orange tones and the glass shelving and sliding door has no chips or cracks. The glass has been covered by hand with a reeded hard wearing vinyl which can be removed easily years down the line, should your tastes or room decor change; the doors slide across smoothly and do not jam.

To fix the cabinet onto the wall there are holes in the reverse to hang, however please contact me if you would prefer some mirror plate hooks for hanging, and I would be really happy to provide. 

Also to mention, it is possible to remove the pins holding each shelf in place easily should you want to remove a shelf and have more height for taller items.

To note, there is one door of which slides to either side of the cabinet, leaving open shelving for objects or products on the side you choose.
