A very smart looking Mid Century Bookcase made by renowned British Maker G Plan as marked in gold on the base. Made from solid wood/ golden oak this is good quality and beautifully designed with an angled side profile. Originally designed by VB Wilkins for G Plan for their 1956 catalogue, an iconic piece of British design which could work as either a bookcase in a stylish retro lounge or apartment; or perhaps an eye catching drinks cabinet for glassware in a contemporary kitchen.
As mentionned, I particularly love the side profile of this bookcase which sits on an insteresting angle, this is an unusual feature and shows off the reason why G Plan furniture is always thought of as practical, functional but also stylish.
Please note the shelves are removable and fix into place using small removable metal brackets. There is also an adjustable floor for drink bottle storage, and to add a contemporary feel, I have placed an irridescent vinyl to the underside which creates a subtle sheen shifting in colour, adding a sense of luxury to this piece; that said this effect can easily be removed in future to preserve all of the original features of the bookcase if preferred.
The cabinet is in great condition but as mentionned this piece has vintage appeal and character which has been preserved deliberately so that the bookcase remains authentic; the wood finish retains the wear of years gone by to enhance this as opposed to hide it. As a result there is some surface scratching but rather than strip away time, I felt the bookcase should be as authentic as possible. The glass doors and shelving are not chipped or cracked and slide smoothly and the whole piece stands solid.
It's a very cool design and a slim profile which makes this piece of furniture convenient to use in smaller spaces such as a hallway or compact lounge. I can also see this adding character to a kitchen, giving a vintage vibe to the space.

We offer free delivery on small items, such as artwork. Smaller furniture items are shipped at a flat rate of £30 and all larger furniture items are shipped at a flat rate of £60 per item.
When an order has been placed, I will contact a courier company within 24 hours to book in a collection. At that point your details will be passed on so the delivery driver can make contact with you at a later date to arrange a suitable delivery date with you.
We advise a usual delivery time of between 1 and 2 weeks, however this can vary a little and can sometimes take longer depending on your location.

We offer the option to return your item for a full refund within14 days, however please note that any delivery costs incurred including return delivery will not be refunded, also consider the item will need to be sent back with the original courier in the original packaging and inspected for any damage before a refund can be issued.
