A fabulous Burr Walnut Art Deco Cabinet.

This is a highly sought-after piece dating from somewhere around the 1920S to the 1930s. The design is influenced by the Art Deco era, with luxurious burr walnut veneer fronted doors and drawer; the burr walnut wood is typical of the time the cabinet was made and exudes quality and sophistication, but is now very rare to find in modern furniture pieces. The patina is particularly stunning and sets off beautifully the original brass drop handles. Finally Queen Anne style cabriole legs complete the whole look.

Made by Inglesants, Furnishers of Leicester since 1872 as marked. This is a great sign of provenance and also dates the piece nicely with this furniture maker ceasing trading in 1940.

This is a stunning piece which would add character to any bedroom as a bedside cabinet or perhaps a lounge area used as a lamp table, fitting in perfectly to a period property. It has small proportions which I think is an endearing quality, having ample character and vintage appeal, making it perfect for a smaller home if space is at a premium.

This cabinet exudes elegance and heritage. The drawer front and door, showcase the beautiful burr walnut and original patina where this had been preserved and restored instead of stripped and lost forever.

The drawer features dovetail joints and solid wood frames, ensuring enduring quality and craftsmanship. The original brass handles have been carefully cleaned maintaining their original patina, and keeping the authentic vintage appeal.

Internally, this piece has been revived with wood salve with a delicate citrus scent, which in turn restores and revives the wood.

Whether placed in a bedroom or living space, it is sure to be a standout piece in your home.

The condition is good and the original burr walnut patina has been left intact, but fully polished inside and out to bring out the gorgeous wood grain. The cupboard stands solid, and the drawer and door open/ run smoothly.

As the original character has been preserved there are some signs of wear consumerate with age but in most part these just add to the authenticity, I would prefer to see the life of this cabinet rather than try to hide it; that said its in excellent condition and is a really good example. Please see the photographs.
