Mid Century Nest of Tables dating from the 1960s in really lovely condition. These are designed by renowned designer Poul Hundevad
And are so well designed featuring 3 folding tables of which slide underneath one larger table to save on space and provide flexibility in your living space. The main table is rectangular with tapered legs; and each smaller table extends outwards using an attractive x-stretcher mechanism as shown in the photographs. The tables slide underneath the main piece to save on space which is a great feature and perfect for when guests visit, handy for moving about the room to serve drinks for example.
The nest of tables is an iconic symbol of Mid Century decor and a staple statement piece of any modern home; would look amazing in a contemporary interior and within a space with a more vintage appeal.
Excellent condition with only very minimal wear, every table stands solid and is in really good order, sliding into the nest with ease. These have a great vintage finish, in particular the patina of the tops is stunning; and the surfaces have been revitalised with wood oil to make them ready for use.
Using for entertaining in the living room is the most obvious option, but I love the flexibility of these tables, so I'd probably have them dotted all around the house, a pair of bedside tables definitely comes to mind!
The nest (largest table with tables slid underneath) measures approximately...
Height 52cm
Width 62cm
Depth 42cm
EACH small table measures approximately when unfolded...
Width 38cm x 38cm
Height 48cm
