The perfect study space...
an unusual vintage writing bureau desk with a rustic but feminine feel, made from solid English oak with carved floral detail. This is a lovely example and dates from around the 1930's. As mentionned it is made from solid oak so is good quality and has been hand painted, then sealed to protect.
To add character to this piece I have picked a sage green shade, which gives a country cottage feel and really brings out the unique features, such as the floral carving on the drawer. The interior has been painted to match so that when you open the lid it feels special to sit here and work, read or study.
Includes the original key which does turn the lock and the interior has compartments for notebooks and envelopes, with a miniature drawer as another added feature.
This bureau would make an ideal compact study space for the corner of a bedroom, living room or kitchen, the lid can be folded up when not in use to save space which is why this suits modern living perfectly but with a more sustainable ethos.

To note, the bureau is in good condition, and it stands solid with the drawer opening smoothly; though please also keep in mind this piece is very nearly an antique so has the patina and character to prove it, that said it has been refinished professionally and the paint finish is smooth to the touch though it looks very rustic.

We offer free delivery on small items, such as artwork. Smaller furniture items are shipped at a flat rate of £30 and all larger furniture items are shipped at a flat rate of £60 per item.
When an order has been placed, I will contact a courier company within 24 hours to book in a collection. At that point your details will be passed on so the delivery driver can make contact with you at a later date to arrange a suitable delivery date with you.
We advise a usual delivery time of between 1 and 2 weeks, however this can vary a little and can sometimes take longer depending on your location.

We offer the option to return your item for a full refund within14 days, however please note that any delivery costs incurred including return delivery will not be refunded, also consider the item will need to be sent back with the original courier in the original packaging and inspected for any damage before a refund can be issued.
